Charades are a simple but fun game that can be easily modified for any age group, so be sure to play the “version” you think it’s best. You can print the pictures you need to explain too. Choose words from movies or play animal charades. There are a lot of modifications to this game. That’s why you should choose “harder” words and phrases for more fun. When you play charades multiple times with the same people you tend to understand each other easily. Pretending to read or sing indicates the phrase is from a book or a song. You can use fingers to indicate the number of words. Some common clues can point the people in the right direction. Try to set short timers for more excitement!
You can even include negative points if someone fails to explain the word properly. The other two are guessing and whoever wins the round gets the points. He/she can use hand gestures and pantomime but shouldn’t make any sound. One player should “act out” a word or a phrase.
Instead of splitting into teams, you can just compete against each other and make an adequate point system. There isn’t any reason why you shouldn’t play this classic game in a group of just three people.
